I'd love to see Jesse Eisenberg onstage, and I'm sorry I missed him in ''The Revisionist,'' opposite Vanessa Redgrave, when they played Off-Broadway.

As far as seeing him in a musical, how good is his singing? There are quick snippets of him on YouTube where he plays guitar and does a song. And he recently told Kelly Clarkson (video below) that ''musical theater is my first love,'' and then comically and anxiously regretted announcing that publicly.

Eisenberg is still boyishly charming, but at 41, he's perhaps a tad too old to pull off the young eager-beaver role of J. Pierrepont Finch in ''How to Succeed.''

But since this Jesse loves musicals, if he's ever ''itching to be switching roles,'' I'd love to hear his secret list of dream parts.
