"Critics" are wrong. The Almeida is not a West End theatre. It's also nowhere near the West End - although a handful of West End theatres are located outside the area that is generally considered the West End.
(Not as far outside it as the Almeida, though.)
The Almeida does, though, pay a levy to SOLT so that their productions are eligible for the main categories in the Olivier Awards. |
