In London they don't have the arbitrary and fairly recent thing that we have - The Broadway Box. The are not nearly yas parochial and self protective as the Broadway League.
Being a West End Theatre doesn't mean all that much. Being in a theatre that can be Olivier nominated is what is important.
In addition to theatres we usually associate with the "West End", the other Society of London Theatre (SOLT) venues which are Olivier Award eligible include:The Barbican Theatre, the National Theatre (All venues), the London Coliseum, Regents Park Open Air Theatre, The Royal Court, Sadlers Wells, the Royal Opera House, Shakespeare's Globe, @sohoplace. |
