I agree that right now English is likely the play to beat unless Good Night and Good Luck is better than just a straight movie adaptation. And too there is Branden Jacobs-Jenkins' new play Purpose which I personally am looking forward the most to. Oh, Mary, extension or no might indeed get a Tony nod in recognition of its (hilarity and) surprising success but I doubt that it will win the prize. I hope Cole someday does win a Tony in recognition of their work but I don't think this is going to be it. |
