Zoe Saldana is the leading contender for a Best Supporting Actress nom for Emilia Perez. Selena Gomez also has a pretty good shot. (I haven't seen the movie, but the idea of Selena Gomez being an Oscar nominated actress is pretty shocking to me.)
Missing from Gold Derby's predictions: Glenn Close for The Deliverance. Horror movies always have a hard time getting recognized, but I'd really love to see her get a nod. I grew up around women like Alberta and she really nailed it. |
