| I agree about Butz. The character morphed away from the young character actor model after Norbert left, and has mostly been played by pretty young men with nice voices and costume-clutching physiques. Not a problem, he's objectified by two women (and both women and men in the film, which is fun to see). But Butz was kinda raw and a little sleazy. That sleaze gave him a naughty quality that's just about erased. Bailey may get more of that in the second act, whoops, "sequel.' |
