I saw it last night. I didn't think it was as awful as some of the flops listed below.
Part of me was wondering if it would have caught on more had Trump not won. Watching a musical about the rise of the religious right and knowing the major implications it would have for people today, made it feel somewhat different. As a friend said "I'm not clapping for Jerry Falwell, even if it's Michael Cerveris dressed up as him." |
