Even though it also has Helen Broderick from the original Broadway cast, it's a terrible movie, and not just because the songs are cut. It also has one of the weirdest scenes I've ever seen in anything. IIRC, the scene is in a store that sells women's lingerie. Even though I think it's a store, only three people are in the scene: Broderick, Olsen and Johnson. Maybe I'm getting something slightly wrong. Anyway, what is so weird is that either Olsen or Johnson, I can't remember which, is for some reason trying on women's lingerie, and Broderick thinks he's a woman, even though he's not otherwise in the slightest bit of drag and doesn't look remotely feminine except for the fact that he's wearing women's lingerie. I don't think I can get quite across just how weird this scene is when you watch it.

Oddly, three years later there was a short titled Paree, Paree that starred Bob Hope and Dorothy Stone. In 23 minutes, it not only has some plot but includes several songs from 50 Million Frenchmen. I'm linking it.
