I greatly enjoyed the Encores production in 2016, but it didn't get incredible reviews, and I don't know that it sold very well for them. Unfortunately (because the new orchestrations sounded wonderful), it wasn't even recorded.
They did edit the book some by taking out racial slurs, and they added "Happiness is a Thing Called Joe" but overall it seemed relatively faithful to the original production. |
