Gian-Carlo Menotti's The Consul had a surprisingly respectable run on Broadway and did turn a profit. Today is generally staged only in opera houses.
New Faces of 1952 was one of the best musical revues to ever be done on Broadway. It was a hit show and was even made into a movie. |
