The performances are so different.
Which is why I posted what I did. There's simply no reason on earth to compare Swanson to anyone else - the role in the musical is written differently and IMO has very little to do with Swanson, or Wilder's take on Norma. So I don't see the point of comparing. But do watch the film - it's one of the best. |
