Most of the guards I’ve worked with have been perfectly pleasant, but they are often met with rudeness and resentment by patrons who would rather not be bothered.
Very astute observation. I would wonder if the OP is projecting his/her own feelings on the guards instead. In my experience, the guards have always been human beings - doing their job, but not rude at all.
Is it a pain to have to go through the checks? Sure. Was it a pain to have to wear a mask and have your covid vaccine card checked? Sure. Is it a pain, in most regional theatres, to have to sit through the "show before the show" spiel that everyone seems to do now? Yup. But is any of that so bad that I don't want to go to the theatre? Are you kidding? ;-) |
