I was thrilled to have caught this same production when I was in London that summer. It was an imaginative reworking. Evita was no longer the Lupone-created powerhouse but a much more vulnerable character. It totally worked!
Although the production was slated to transfer, I thought Pauly, at the time, was already contracted to come to Bway in SIX. Is it the same production that is finally getting to the West End? |
