| I went to the website to check out prices and was appalled to see that any decent orchestra seat is going to cost $521/$421, with some back/side seats $216. Same story in the mezz, although there are back/side seats for $175-195. Maybe there will be some better options once the American Express presale ends, but if not I think I've finally found my line in the sand for what I'm willing to pay for a show - a one woman show, no less. To charge these kinds of prices is just unacceptably greedy, even for a much touted, well reviewed show that's sure to be an event. How is Broadway going to thrive and survive for the next generation if it becomes accessable only to the rich? |
