Peter O'Toole actually did win the National Board of Review's Best Actor prize for ''The Ruling Class'' and ... ''Man of La Mancha.''

Even though O'Toole wound up losing the Oscar 8 times, the Academy did give him an honorary Academy Award in 2003 for lifetime achievement.
