Can't and won't disagree with any of that.
If only any of the other recordings of the score were as good as the OLC, or better and could top it so we had 2 great ones that were even in circulation.
It's frustrating how Spotify seems to first give revivals or recent productions' cast albums, but the idea that people are first hearing ALNM from the Broadway revival, or Follies from the 2nd revival or the London revival at the National... or Company from the gender-switched revival or the 2006 revival... or Sweeney from the Groban revival, or even Sunday from the Jake revival (not a bad recording, I just don't like the way it sounds compared to the perfect original).
