And thank you for your thoughtful response.
One thing that did strike me recently was the contrast between his Sunset Boulevard review and his Our Town review. The latter review was brought up in a few of the very angry replies to the Sunset review on the Times site, with people sayng they thought the production was not good yet he raved about it. I found the Our Town review odd in that he said so little about the production. It was mostly about the play itself and how deeply affected he felt watching this production but with few specifics about the production and little explanation of why this production affected him so strongly. |
