AIDA did not postpone during previews from what I recall. I saw its early tryouts in both Atlanta and Chicago and you want to talk about a mess....interesting score but needed lots of work.
Elton saw an early preview on Bway and stormed out of the theatre after "My Strongest Suit" (which was quite badly orchestrated and pointless until they fixed it). It was not in the best of shape. But they did the work during PREVIEWS to make it a much better show. |
