On October 23rd, 2024, Phantasmagoria, a new horror play written by Jack Horton Gilbert and directed by Tom Costello, will open to the public at The Tank for an 8 show run. With performances beginning Wednesday, October 23, 2024, tickets for Phantasmagoria start at $20 and will be available at https://thetanknyc.org/calendar-1/phantasmagoria2024 for performances through Wednesday, October 30, 2024.

Phantasmagoria is an original play that blends horror, dark comedy, and intense character-driven drama to tell the story of five friends and one stranger who gather together on Halloween night, only to be confronted by a supernatural evil that has haunted their town for years. Set in a secluded, boarded-up summer home, the play delves into the psychological tension between the characters as they grapple with fear, guilt, and the choices they must make to survive.

This production invites audiences into a world where the familiar twists into something unsettling and where friendship is tested in the face of unimaginable danger. Phantasmagoria is an exploration of trust, friendship, and the supernatural that creates dynamic, boundary-pushing theater in a genre frequently neglected on stage. Conceived to be as scary as it is fun—this production will leave audiences with a story that lingers long after the curtain falls. Run time is 90 minutes with no intermission.

Phantasmagoria is produced by Jack Horton Gilbert and Hannah Jade Vickery, written by Jack Horton Gilbert, directed by Tom Costello and will star Tudor Postolach, Maya Shoham, Paige Bakke, Sarina Freda, Matt Yifeng, and Michael DeFilippis. The creative team consists of light design by Lee Lillis, sound design and original music by Brandon Bulls, and fight choreography by Alex Gould.
