James IJames new play reading at the Public: "Proxy"

Hi all,

I attended the afternoon reading at LuEsther Hall at the Public Theater yesterday:
It was James IJames new drama "Proxy".

The reading was sensational. If I were the author, I wouldn't
change a COMMA, it was that ready to go. It was enthralling. You could hear a
pin drop in the auditorium, it was magical. It's a three-character (2M, 1F )ninety-minute
(no intermission) that is SO EFFECTIVE AND POWERFUL.

IMHO, they should put "Proxy" on one of the Public mainstages ASAP. I wouldn't be
surprised to see this one make it to Broadway in the near future.
