Decades ago. I was broke and 22 years old, and many friends & I were selling concessions in Broadway theatres already, so it was as much about stepping into the lobby / back of the house at intermission to say hi to my friends as it was just standing (or sitting down) to see some or all of the second act. Half of the time I knew the House Manager... so it honestly just wasn't that big of a deal.
I second-acted BEAUTY & THE BEAST maybe twice? That's the only show where I *never* saw the first act.
