| Not quite that, but Frank Rich wrote that he went to a holiday matinee of Jennie, which I think must have been on Christmas Day 1963, and left it after around 45 minutes because it was so dull and ran from 44th Street up to 49th Street to see She Loves Me. He remembered the Jennie matinee having started at 2, and the She Loves Me matinee having started at 3, but in fact the She Loves Me matinee started at 2:30. So if the story is essentially true, he must have left Jennie sooner than after 45 minutes. |
