| some additional stars: -Annaleigh Ashford, known primarily for Broadway probably, but once you star in a CBS sitcom for 2 seasons, in addition to prominent roles on several other TV shows, it's hard to determine anymore if your name sells tickets from your Broadway career or your TV career or both. -Jessie Mueller and Stephanie J Block ... both Broadway star Tony winning leading ladies, I can't tell if they sell tickets or not, but they are leads on Broadway without any notable TV or film work to speak of. I don't know that Kelli O'Hara actually sells tickets for more than a couple of months on Broadway, so maybe they're all in the same category, though Mueller's career is shorter, her lead roles in Beautiful and Waitress probably earned her more dedicated fans and publicity than most of Kelli's shows, or Blocks. And Kelli I think has a bigger star, people write new musicals FOR her that somehow also get produced on broadway, but her and Block have fairly similar careers in terms of longevity, though she hasn't been THE lead in as many Broadway shows as Kelli. Just didn't want to leave them out, of this now tangential dialogue I'm having with myself. lol |
