I understand what you're saying with regard to their genius. But, had they been "cancelled" or whatever in their time, that may have created space for another genius to emerge. There are so many talented people across the arts who just need opportunities to shine and show their work. The most talented director/choreographer/actor/whatever you've never heard of might be the server who just brought you your burger and fries. If that person never gets a shot, their genius will be redirected elsewhere or lost.
You just never know. |
