| Yes you did. It was a very serious misread and I am shaken by being misunderstood in a matter I consider to be deeply at the core of my values. One of the best things the theater has done in the past few years is to insist that diversity be taken into account in its endeavors. It has not always been successful but when it has we have had some glorious results in plays, musicals, performances,direction, design and audience outreach. Hopefully this will continue and will grow in the seasons to come and the York will be a part of this growth. As far as the "scapegoating" goes, I wondered if there wasn't a larger problem going on at the York and Morgan was seemingly pushed oot because of that and racism was not the issue at all. |
