I left an “acclaimed” production of Hamlet in Barcelona. It was in english and they showed the movie behind the actors. All the blocking was exactly the same as the movie and it was so distracting. I didn’t know if i should watch the movie or the actors. I left at intermission of Spongebob The Musical
At Slow Burn in Ft. Lauderdale. They had blaring preshow and intermission music and the entire production was just way too loud. I felt like I was being screamed at. I also left Gilliagan’s Island The Musical at imtermission. That was a mess from the beginning. Considering the fact that I have been going to the theatre since the second grade ( I’m now almost 70) that’s a pretty good record. |
