I don’t know Hugh Jackman.
But my good friends, the late Len Wein and his wife Chris, knew him well, and had nothing but praise for his generosity and kindness. For those non-nerds out there, Len created the character of Wolverine. When Len was inducted into the Comics Hall of Fame, Hugh made a surprise visit to be there for Len, and sent Chris a lovely tribute to Len after he died.
When Hugh met Len the first time, he apologized for being too tall for the character, as Wolverine is supposed to be short, like his namesake. “That’s okay,” Len said. “You play him short really well.”
