Not sure you'll see this reply to an old post, but I was able to get up to the Shaw just before the end of the regular season.
Wanted to see Witness and MFL, but what seats were left weren't too good. So we saw Candida and Sherlock Holmes and the Human Heart. I thought Candida was very good, though played a little more broadly by a couple of the actors, and the Sherlock Holmes started out terrific (first of the three acts), then became tedious. Production elements on both, especially sets and costumes, were top notch. Acting across the board (with the above excecption) was also very good. We saw several of the same actors in both shows, which is always fun.
Hoping to go back for My Fair Lady in December. |
