Dreamgirls - Endlessly appreciative for the Actors' Fund Recording, which preserved so much of the score omitted from the OBC to give it more of a pop feel, but, OH!, wouldn't it be wonderful to have that music sung by Holliday, Ralph, Devine, and the rest of the legendary OBC

Titanic - So much gorgeous music was cut from the CD, presumably for time, which has always struck me as but somewhat ironic because I'm convinced Titanic only took the Best Musical prize because of its score's scope and complexity

James Joyce's The Dead - This is somewhat of a cheat because we didn't get an OBC recording, but what a shame not to have a record of that dream cast's expert delivery of these gorgeous songs...I mean, I would prefer replacement Stephen Bogardus to Christopher Walken's Gabriel, but...good lord...Blair Brown, Marni Nixon, Sally Ann Howes, Alice Ripley, Emily Skinner, Stephen Spinella, Brooke Sunny Moriber, Daisy Egan, John Kelly...what an embarrassment of riches, and what a missed opportunity

Kiss of the Spider Woman - We got pretty close, especially after the Williams/McGillin/Mitchell recording was released, but I'm still mad we don't have a recording of "Come," a major song that fully realizes one of the score's major themes!

Sunset Blvd. - This is another cheat because the Premiere American Recording is basically complete...but I wish we had a complete recording with a different cast, and especially a better sung Norma (and I say this as someone who'd probably name Glenn Close's performance in the ENO revival as the best performance I've ever seen in anything anywhere)...if I could Frankenstein a cast together from different productions and different eras, it would have Betty Buckley, Michael Xavier, Ed Dixon, and either Siobhan Dillon or Sarah Uriarte Berry
