I walked through it once and saw a few friends, but you are so right.
I can't think of an open space with more acreage ("room" is not exactly the word because of all the tourists) other than Times Square. Bryant Park. And completely closing off 44th and/or 45th streets will not work because of traffic patterns.
Too bad because I used to like going to this event. |
