Re Battles: Yeah, that's pretty much the story told in at least one or two places. It seems he may have been involved with Bernstein at the time of On the Town. He was very good-looking.
Since Chisholm was probably living in Australia at the time of the recording, and had been in London for several years before that, appearing there in My Fair Lady, I think the surprise would have been if he had been on the recording. I seem to think Battles may have been in Dublin at the time of the recording, where he acted for a while, but it does seem as if no effort was made to find him. |
