Yes, anecdotal at best. From John’s Hopkins:
What initially was referred to as “Paxlovid rebound”—a return of COVID symptoms or test positivity after starting a course of the antiviral—is now more accurately referred to as “COVID rebound,” because rebound can happen regardless of whether someone takes antivirals.
CDC:
The CDC notes in a health advisory that “a brief return of symptoms may be part of the natural history of SARS-CoV-2 infection in some persons, independent of treatment with Paxlovid and regardless of vaccination status.”
I had COVID in 2022, took Paxlovid and did not have any rebound (also anecdotal). |
