There's a studio recording of "Lady in the Dark" starring Rise Stevens (the most famous "Carmen" of the 20th Century), and though that recording is more complete, I much prefer the recording and tv broadcast starring Ann Sothern in the leading role.

The great baritone Lawrence Tibbett, who succeeded Pinza in "Fanny" on Broadway, recorded excerpts of "Porgy and Bess" with soprano Helen Jepson around the time of its premiere while George Gershwin was still alive; they were both white artists so they never performed the roles on stage, but the recordings are famous.

On a gala "Die Fledermaus" recording, conducted by Herbert Von Karajan, there are interpolated excerpts from musicals and operettas during the 2nd act ball; among them is a fun "Anything You Can Do" from "Annie Get Your Gun" sung by baritone Ettore Bastianini and mezzo Giulietta Simionato, "I Could Have Danced All Night" sung by Birgit Nilsson, and "Summertime" from "Porgy and Bess" sung by Leontyne Price.
