| I agree. An entire Facebook discussion grew out of the conspiratorial theory that Farrow "isn't really sick." Forget the mean-spiritedness in the presumption, that this woman who earned career reviews would suddenly look for a way to skip performances only days after opening. The context here is COVID, the protocols, an industry that fought valiantly, even heroically, to re-open and keep both artists and audiences safe and well. It's disturbing to read people parse symptoms or on-line behavior as "proof" of anything. Contagion is no small factor, nor is any illness striking a 79-year-old. It's wonderful news that she's back, that a brief bump didn't derail a production that seems to be an audience pleaser, in no small part because this actor is giving her all. |
