| Mia's role of Sharon was far more appropriate for Mason. I can't even fathom Mason playing Patti's role of Robyn which reads and is written to feel like she is at least a few years, if not considerably, younger than Sharon. I'd guess that Patti and Mia feel closer to the same age than Patti and Marsha did which may make it a more equal approach to the piece, at least to me on Sunday when Mason was struggling with the bulky book in her hand and only had 4 hours of rehearsal.. I wonder if more time and repetition has helped her feel more comfortable and therefore read slightly younger. |
