| Nancy Dussault was the final Maria in the original cast of THE SOUND OF MUSIC. She replaced the London performers in SIDE BY SIDE BY SONDHEIM and so did Georgia Brown and Larry Kert. She also was the Witch in the original INTO THE WOODS. Sally Ann Howes replaced Julie Andrews in MY FAIR LADY and Anita Gillette replaced Lucie Arnez in THEY'RE PLAYING OUR SONG. Betty Buckley was a replace of the lead in I'M GETTING MY ACT TOGETHER AND TAKING IN ON THE ROAD. Karen Mason was a replacement for Debbie Gravitt in JEROME ROBBINS and she was the final replacement in HAIRSPRAY. There are others but I cannot think of them at this moment |
