The television adaptation of the American Conservatory Theatre Cyrano was shown in the PBS Theatre in America series. I think it's the best Cyrano video I've seen, which includes the Ferrer film and the RSC video with Derek Jacobi. Broadway Theatre Archive issued it on VHS and DVD. (These are long out of print. Copies are available on amazon.) Peter Donat is wonderful, and the whole cast, including a pre-Beastmaster Marc Singer, is excellent. The one thing I'm sad about is that the last act scene with de Guiche is cut, probably for reasons of time, as Paul Shenar is so good in the role.
