No, but that’s not the issue. The issue is people bought tickets to see Mia Farrow and Patti LuPone, and now they’re not getting Mia Farrow (and she’s the harder one to see on stage, because Patti is on Broadway every few years), but you can get someone else who was famous in the 70s, or you can get someone you haven’t heard of.
A lot more people are going to stay and watch the person they’ve heard of, which is especially important when there is press in the house and the story could easily become people didn’t stay to watch the play without me, Farrow and neither should you. |
