One famous example (which maybe you know?) is Callas's 1955 live recording of Lucia in Berlin, where the sextet was encored. Callas was reportedly unhappy with having to sing the sextet again before the mad scene. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sh-VMQKczLs
