| I am hard of hearing so after the first act, I went to get the headset, and there was a mob of people trying to do the same. Unfortunately, this theater has started a new procedure for the headsets. They don’t just take your ID. They type in your information and then ask for your phone number and it takes an inordinate amount of time. I did enjoy more the rest of the play and I did understand most of it. I really didn’t feel that much for the characters though and how they really to each other although the actress who played the mother and Joan in the second act was fabulous. Her monologue was the highlight of the play, even though she did ask for a line. I believe it only was nominated for two Olivier awards, so it is not the greatest thing to come from England. |
