I saw this Friday night, first row of the mezzanine. I've watched British movies, tv and live plays for years. I do not have a hearing problem.
I think it's a mix of the very strong accent, some projection issues and the quick pace of the dialogue. I surely missed some of the exchanges among the adult sisters, and also heard laughter from some sections of the audience after a line I missed. My wife said after that she would like to read the play to see what she missed. A number of the people around us complained at intermission and to the usher as we left.

That said, I still enjoyed it, and found it a well-written and acted piece. It does harken back to other family dramas, and I'm sure many will predict the plot twists. It's an old-fashioned play, and I mean that in a good way. Memory, perception and the lies we tell ourselves to get by.
The best reason to see it is Laura Donnelly, who should be in Tony contention for her performance. And I had no problem understanding her at all.
