| Gheorghiu’s appalling, unprofessional behavior has been well-documented for years. She is (or was) a major talent to be reckoned with, but the “diva” excuse is tired and she should be called out each and every time she does it. She and Alagna were jokes at the Met when they apparently believed their own hype. Divorcing her was the best thing Alagna could have done: sans Angela, he has revealed himself to be a charming team player, who has saved several productions by stepping in when asked. This story is outrageous on every level: how on earth can she justify walking ONTO THE STAGE WHILE the tenor was singing, to chastise him, the conductor, and the audience!! Let the bloodletting continue… |
