I had forgotten about Pal Joey, which was last November's extra show, and that certainly falls under her bailiwick. It seems that one of her major stumbling blocks is when she hires people who want to "fix" an old show, which I think dovetails into her statement about how every show more than 20-25 years old is problematic. I thought that statement was ridiculous, and it's especially ridiculous for someone who is running Encores. It made me wonder what exactly the conversations were with whoever decided to give her the Encores job while she was interviewing.
It didn't seem like anyone was trying to "fix" last season's shows, and the upcoming season's shows don't seem to need fixing to me. Hopefully, this season will be a strong one. |
