I found on the internet A woman's world article on the Lucy Desi comedy hour. The article relates that Davis was responding when she injured herxelf so badly she has it withdrawal fearful of backlash from the public shd begged Lucy and Desi not to publicize her early withdrawal. Third Agreed and quietly told the bress that bankhead was replacing her for personal reasons.
