| Question about the upcoming complete recording of Carousel |

I decided to listen to the preview tracks on iTunes for the complete Carousel recording being released tomorrow. I think there has been a huge hole left in the production of complete recordings since John Yap at JAY Records stopped producing them. The Wilson recording of Oklahoma is very welcome in my collection, and it baffles me as to how we’ve not had a complete recording of either score after all these years. Glad that is changing!
Anyway, to the question at hand. Towards the end of the Entr’acte (in the pause in the music at the 4:28 mark) I hear something in the background that caught my attention on my first listen. I also seem to hear some background noise at the very end of the track. Does anyone else hear this or am I going crazy? Also, does anyone know if these tracks were specifically added as preview tracks without final touch-ups? It would be unfortunately sloppy if these little flubs stayed in the CD release. |
