New York, NY – Broadway fans, prepare to "Run and Tell That!" three of your favorite leading ladies from Hairspray are back and better than ever! Tony nominees Laura Bell Bundy (Legally Blonde), Kerry Butler (Beetlejuice, Xanadu), and Tony winner Marissa Jaret Winokur (Hairspray) are reuniting for a fabulous, toe-tapping, show-stopping special event, Mama, I'm A Big Girl Now! will feature musical direction by Andrew Byrne and produced by Lisa Dozier Shacket.

This spectacular event will kick off at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street) for a limited run beginning November 2, 2024, with an official opening night on November 13 through December 8, 2024. Expect a dazzling night of nostalgia, laughter, and unforgettable musical moments as these Broadway mamas—who first met while originating the roles of Tracy, Penny, and Amber in the Tony Award-winning show Hairspray—take the stage again. They will revisit the show that helped launch their careers and lifelong friendships, all while singing hits from the shows that made you fall in love with them over 20 years ago.

Mama, I'm A Big Girl Now! is a full-on celebration of Broadway's brightest moments. From the iconic Hairspray hits like "You Can't Stop the Beat" and "I Can Hear the Bells" to creative mashups, exclusive medleys, and hilarious parodies, this show promises to be a night filled with all the sparkle and joy of a Broadway musical.

Between them, these stars have graced 16 Broadway shows, appeared in over 300 television episodes, and have become beloved fixtures in the entertainment world. From Beetlejuice to "Big Brother," Mean Girls to Legally Blonde, "Dancing with the Stars" to Beauty and the Beast, and even the Country Music Awards.

Join these powerhouse performers on a hilarious and meaningful musical journey about their origins, friendships, careers, and becoming mamas themselves. For decades, they performed as teenagers on stage; now, see the fully bloomed divas they've become in "Mama, I'm a Big Girl Now."

?LAURA BELL BUNDY is a Tony-nominated Broadway actress and Billboard top 5 recording artist. Bundy made her debut at age 9 in the Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall, since then she has originated the stage roles: Tina in Ruthless (Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Award Nominations), Amber in Broadway's Hairspray, most notably Elle Woods in Legally Blonde The Musical where she received a Tony Nomination, and Sylvia in Broadway's The Cottage. She also took a turn as Glinda in Wicked on Broadway. Bundy has appeared in or starred in numerous films and over 100 episodes of television including roles on "Call Me Kat", "The New Fairly Odd Parents— Fairly Odder," "Perfect Harmony," "How I Met Your Mother/Father," "Hart of Dixie," "American Gods," Anger Management, Good Behavior, Scream Queens, Documentary Now, Dream Girls, Jumanji and many more. She just wrapped up Jill Kargman's film Miracle on 74th Street, which is set to release in 2025. Bundy has recorded multiple albums as a Universal Music Group & Big Machine Label artist, which garnered her a CMT nomination and a Billboard Top Five Album.

She was a Sony Publishing songwriter from 2009 to 2014 and has toured the world doing concerts of her original music opening for Rascal Flats, Blake Shelton, Dwight Yoakam, Miranda Lambert, and others. As a writer and composer, she created and developed series Mashville for Netflix, and Girl Time — a women's history sketch comedy variety show— for Free Form. Her latest album Women of Tomorrow released by ONErpm thematically tackles the double standards so many women face today reaching over 3 million streams across streaming platforms. It is currently being adapted for Broadway. The companion podcast of the same name on Broadway Podcast Network dives deeper into the history of each of the issues, and the community and app gives women the tools to be empowered in all areas of their lives. Women Of Tomorrow foundation's concerts and events have raised over $200K for female causes in the New York area. ?KERRY BUTLER has starred in over ten Broadway productions, won and has been nominated for many awards including a Tony and Drama League nomination for playing Kira in Xanadu. Most recent Broadway roles include the three adult women in Mean Girls (Outer Critics Nomination) and Barbara in Beetlejuice, which closed in 2023. Other Broadway shows: Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors (Outer Critics Nomination) Penny in Hairspray (won the Clarence Derwant Award for most promising female performance, Drama Desk and Outer Critic Nominations), Catch Me If You Can (Drama Desk Nomination) Disaster!, Sherrie in Rock of Ages, Belle in Beauty and the Beast (Dora Nomination) The Best Man, Blood Brothers, and Eponine in Les Miserables. Her voice can be heard on over ten original cast recordings- in addition to her own Disney-inspired album 'Faith Trust and Pixie Dust'. She has done several films and television shows - most notably the award-winning Honor Society. Some favorite television and film roles "Gilmore Girls," "Revival," "30 Rock," "The Mindy Project," "Miseducation of Cameron Post," "Cupid," and the final season of "Marvelous Mrs. Maisel". Look for her in an upcoming episode "Law and Order SVU," and recurring role on "Gladiator".

Her greatest joy is her family. She lives with her husband, writer/director Joey Mazzarino, their two beautiful daughters, and the new addition to their family, puppy Milo, adopted from Broadway Barks. MARRISA JARET WINOKUR is perhaps best known for creating the role of "Tracy Turnblad" in the Broadway musical Hairspray, winning a Tony Award, a Drama Desk Award, and an Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Actress in a musical. Marissa was crowned winner of the inaugural season of "Celebrity Big Brother", and danced her way into the hearts of America on the hit series "Dancing with the Stars", making it all the way to the Final 4! Marissa can currently be seen on many hit shows, including newly Emmy nominated "What We Do In The Shadows," "Bupkis," "So Help Me Todd," "Clone High" and streaming on Netflix movies "Feel the Beat "and "Trouble." She recently returned to The Hollywood Bowl to star in Kinky Boots alongside Wayne Brady, and Beauty and The Beast with Rebel Wilson and Taye Diggs.

Marissa started her career on Broadway in Tommy Tunes Grease! She has hosted many Talk shows, including "The Talk, ""The View," "Dance Your Ass Off," "All About Sex, "and "Off The Block With Ross And Marissa." She can be seen on many TV shows still streaming today. Some of her favorite series include but are not limited to "Curb Your Enthusiasm," "Girls," Crashing," "Playing House," "Million Little Things, "Perfect Harmony," Stacked," "Retired at 35 " and Voices characters on hundreds of animated shows including critically acclaimed, "American Dad", "King of the Hill," "The Cleveland Show, "Yo Gaba Gaba," and "Shrek The Halls".

Marissa has recently shifted into directing. Her last show, ICE CATS, starring Alli Miller, topped the awards at the LA Fringe and is now in TV development. She is also gearing up to direct the feature film BALI HIGH, a romantic tragedy starring Ashley Argota and Mick Torres. Marissa and her husband, comedy writer Judah Miller, split their time between NY and LA with their son Zev (when he's not playing Tennis) and their two Labradoodles. Marissa is a cancer survivor and is passionate about educating women on cancer awareness. and works closely with STAND UP TO CANCER.
