Hear hear. So richly deserving of having a Broadway theatre named for him. I wish I'd seen his foundational performances like GREAT WHITE HOPE and FENCES and OTHELLO, but I'm grateful to have seen what were (I guess?) his last four: CAT ON A HOT ROOF (in London with Adrian Lester), YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU, THE BEST MAN and THE GIN GAME. His legacy should last a long time ahead in galaxies far, far away. |
