Elphaba spends 7 years living in a convent, caring for a small child who is somehow not green-skinned (wink-wink). Then they set out on a journey through the grasslands with a bunch of bees. Then, over several chapters, Elphaba meets a magical princess who is also sometimes an elephant. There is definitely an opium element to this section.

This journey, and those chapters are, well, arduous.

But sure, put it on the big screen! It's got a little "Sound of Music", some "Oliver", toss in some "Paint Yer Wagon", maybe an homage to "Shreck" and set pieces from "Lion King".

And I'll watch every single bit of it.
