Well, look carefully at the lyrics of the song. Some good things are for now, and some not good things are for now. So it's having fun playing with ambivalence. Plus, the line is of course true, no matter the outcome of the election, as certainly at the time there was no question that any president could serve only up to 2 terms. I think the line is more of a lighthearted jab, not a "Firmly Anti-Bush Agenda." To those people who really took serious offense to the lyric, I'm sorry, but I would also not hesitate to say "come on, it's just a joke, in a show that skewers everything anyway."
