I saw Tammy Faye in London a few times and i've already got tickets for it in November. This is the first show in years to get me back to NYC - that and Sunsety Blvd, despite seeing them both before. I think the score for Tammy Faye is fantastic. It's the best Elton John score in years and Katie Brayben raises the roof with all her big numbers. The book is very funny but also very smart and James Graham will win Best Book of a Musical at the Tonys next year! It's as much about the politics of the time and how it really isn't that different now, as much as it is about Tammy Faye herself. It seems there isn't much excitement for the show at the moment, which is a shame as it really does deserve to do well.
